And Now for Something Completely Different...

Earlier this year, I had the distinct pleasure of working with this foxy lady. As the eponymous lead of Alejandra O'Leary and the Champions of the West - a band she formed while living in Michigan - Alejandra contacted me needing a new set of press and promotional portraits ahead of the August release of the band's newest album, Heartspace Timepiece. I'm still not exactly sure how it happened, but somewhere in my portfolio of babies and brides, she saw potential for some gritty rock and roll portraits, and I can't begin to tell you how happy I am that she did. This shoot was an absolute blast: everything from poring over the old photos of Springsteen, Morrissey, and Patty Smith that Alejandra sent as inspiration to spending a sunny January afternoon creating edgy, dramatic portraits in the snow... Alejandra was up for anything, and our shared creative chemistry resulted in a set I absolutely love.
