The Best Gift of All
As lovely as they are, I know that the holidays can be stressful or downright depressing for a lot of people. Obviously, there are many and varied sources of those feelings, but I feel like a lot of it is wrapped up in the way we all rush around trying to find THE PERFECT GIFT for everyone we've ever met, feel guilty when we forget to put someone on the list or don't give a gift as nice as the one we receive, and ultimately end up exchanging a lot of stuff, of which only a fraction is truly cherished. For me, every single year, the best part of the holidays is spending quality, relaxed time with my loved ones doing the things we love to do: eating, drinking, playing games, and enjoying the kids in all their hot-chocolate- and candy cane-induced glory. I'd gladly give up all the presents for a few more days of that each year! My love of photography is, in many ways, rooted in that idea. Everyone knows the saying about how no one lies on their deathbed wishing they'd spent more time working. When I'm old - and even now! - I want to surround myself with as many reminders as I can of the joys in my life, and photography has helped me collect physical reminders of many of those memories, first for myself, and now, professionally, for other people. My work means a lot to me in large part because it means a lot to others, and will continue to do so for generations to come.
Sooooo... for all those of you who are hunting for that perfect gift, and who agree that custom photography fits the bill, I've got a gift for you! Until December 20th, your purchase of a Megapixie gift certificate valued at $250 or more will include a complimentary 12x12 standout print of the image of your recipient's choice. These beautiful prints, which themselves are valued at $180, are flush-mounted onto a 1.5-inch hardwood frame so that they can stand alone on a shelf or hang like a gallery-wrapped canvas on the wall. Additionally, when you purchase one of these gift certificates, your name will be entered into a drawing that I'll hold on Christmas Eve. The winner of that drawing will receive a $200 print credit that they can either add on to the gift certificate they're giving away or use themselves in an upcoming portrait session. Merry Christmas, indeed!
