Life as Art | Raleigh Family Photographer
A couple of weeks ago, I showed you a sneak peek of my portrait session with three year-old Annalise. I mentioned then that the session was remarkable in that it really captured the essence of what it is to be three years old: inquisitive, enthusiastic, and not-to-be pinned down for more than two seconds at a time. As I worked through editing this session, it seemed that every picture told that same story - there were very few images of little Annalise standing still, much less looking directly at the camera. I suppose some might see that as a problem - not having a series of classic "portraits" - but I thought it was perfect: it will recall the sweet, busy-bee reality of three year-old Annalise well into the years where she sits much more than she runs.A couple of times, I was able to catch a stolen glance, but then she was off and running again... I love so many images from this session, but this next one has to be one of my very very favorites... pure, gorgeous, dreamy, rainbow-winged childhood. LOVE!
A beautiful girl with her beautiful parents...
And then a few minutes' rest: cuddling with mom, watching a plane fly by, and taking a peek at the world from an ant's perspective. Then, batteries recharged, she took flight again!Quinn and Maarten, thank you for a lovely morning. These pictures make me smile ear to ear, and I hope they'll do the same for you for years to come!
