Christine & Jason | A Front Room Wedding in Durham, NC
Looking through the photos from Christine & Jason's wedding at the Cookery's Front Room in Durham, I kept coming across images that illustrated the two elements of their relationship that make me believe that they are a great couple, destined for a long and happy life together. First, these two are really into each other. It helps, obviously, that they share so many interests and have a similar sense of humor, blah, blah, blah... but I kept catching these amazing moments of emotion, and certainty, and happiness, and as obvious as you'd think that would be on a couple's wedding day, the pomp and circumstance around a wedding far too frequently get in the way. They hand-crafted every element of their wedding, and therefore had a lot invested in the details (which are amazing and could easily have taken over my whole post here), but on the day of the wedding, stayed perfectly focused on the reason they were there, and it was a lovely thing to witness. Second, Christine & Jason are super-freaking fun. I mean, I work with lots of fun people (and happen to consider myself to be fun, too, thankyouverymuch!), but they are FUN. They are silly, creative, energetic people whose palpable happiness together, rather than forcing other people out, seems to draw their friends and family in... as infectious as a big yawn. Being fun might not seem like the key to a happy marriage, but as they say, marriage can be hard work, and if you can have fun while you're working hard, well, you're two-thirds of the way there.
There are so many great images from this wedding and I had a hard time narrowing it down for a quick preview post, but I figure a handful in keeping with the themes mentioned above would be a good way to start:
I hope you guys are soaking in every last moment of your time in Bora Bora! Have a safe trip home... I can't wait to sit down and share the rest of these with you next week!!!
