A few months ago, Lauren contacted me to arrange a family portrait session as a birthday gift for her mother, Gina. Lauren's was a rather unusual request for me - most often it seems that families wait for events like weddings or until there are children involved to bother with family portraits, but I give Lauren a lot of credit... what mother wouldn't treasure beautiful portraits of her family at any time?

Lauren's family was a dream to work with: not only did they brave a very chilly afternoon (despite being from Florida!), they also arrived dressed perfectly for their session... comfortable & coordinated, but not too matchy-matchy, which is not as easy as it may seem for six people to pull off! Beyond that, as you can see, they are an absolutely stunning family:
