Austin, now in Nashville | Durham Family Photographer
If you ever feel like you'd like to schedule a portrait session but just can't find the time, you should talk to Adrienne. When Adrienne got in touch, she was in her first year of motherhood, finishing her residency in Anesthesiology, and gearing up for a big move and a new job in Tennessee. You can imagine there were other things she and her husband Cullen might've planned for that morning, but I'm glad they didn't, and I bet they're glad, too... their gorgeous son Austin was at that perfect photo age: not a newborn, but definitely not yet a toddler; quick to give big goofy smiles, but not so full of stranger danger that he wasn't willing to fall asleep right there in front of the camera; self-supported but not racing around the house. Oh, and absolutely, positively adorable :D
And that's all she wrote... right? Baby goes down for an unexpectedly early nap and photographer gives up? Hah! Adrienne and Cullen were brave to break the cardinal rule of parenthood (in case you didn't know: never wake a sleeping baby!), and of course it could've turned out badly, but instead, after a mere 10 minute nap, we woke Austin up and he gave us these:
Adrienne, thank you for squeezing me into those last harried weeks before you moved... I LOVE the images we were able to capture, and it was a real pleasure meeting your beautiful little family! I can't wait to see you this fall at Megan's wedding!
