Diane, Roberto, & Marina | Family Portraits in Chapel Hill

This was, hands down, one of the loveliest family sessions I've ever had the pleasure of photographing. Diane, Roberto & Marina are a multi-talented crew whose creative genius knows no bounds, and I knew from the start that our time together would be something special. They showed up for our session with a Sunday morning picnic fit for a king, along with a veritable treasure trove of objects, instruments, costumes, and artifacts from their lives. They sang songs, read poetry, ate, danced, and played their instruments until the sun was high and we were all ready for a nap.

And in my nap, in my dreams, I was a parent just like these two.

Welcome, Ryan | Newborn Portraits in Chapel Hill

I can never decide which is more fun: photographing newborns when they're fresh out of the oven, all wrinkly and soft and impossibly small, or getting them 10 weeks in, wide-eyed and beginning to get the hang of the world around them. So when someone calls me about newborn portraits, I go over the benefits of each and make them choose for themselves! One of the big benefits to waiting is the fact that at ten weeks post-partum, things have settled down a bit and everyone has a bit more energy, which gives us the chance to get some sweet family portraits like this one:Chapel Hill Family Photography And don't forget big, sweet baby stares like this, either!Chapel Hill Family Photography

Amy and Darv, I had so much fun meeting you, Jack, and Ryan, and can't wait to get together to go through these soon!
