Wow, the summer went fast! Despite July's repressive, record-breaking heat and now hurricanes and earthquakes (!!!) in August, I still feel like it has flown by. Fall's my favorite season - changing leaves, cool nights, and sweaters and boots are always just what the doctor ordered - and now we've got all of those good things to look forward to right around the corner! The leaves aren't the only things changing, though. The biggest change going on here this week is that Ollie is starting Kindergarten on Friday. In some ways, it doesn't feel like a big deal - he's been in pre-k at the same school for the past two years - but in others, it feels ENORMOUS. I loved school, and hope both of my kids do, too... mostly I'm excited for him and this new, important chapter in his life.

There are other changes coming, as well. I know blog posting this summer has been a bit light - that's been due to a lot of behind-the-scenes work I've been doing on the business. Over the last year, I've spent a lot of time reflecting on what my strengths are as a photographer and how I can use those to best serve my clients. I have a new business plan, new branding, and a new site (which will hopefully be live in the next month), all intended to reflect that new focus. It's taken a lot of effort, but I am thrilled with the results... all of that coming soon!

Another exciting change I've implemented is the publication of a newsletter - something I've been meaning to get to since I first got started. My vision for the newsletter is to keep you informed of what's going on here, provide ideas and inspiration for future sessions, and give you the heads up on any upcoming specials I'm offering.
