A Pictorial Explanation for my Recent Absence from the Blog

I've said it before, but let me reiterate: I am not a landscape photographer. That said, my recent trip to the Black Rock Desert was pretty visually epic: skies that extended way past any logical horizon, clouds that changed form and pattern like giant dancers, and stars that redefined the meaning of the word for me... I also got to see and photograph Fly Geyser, the colors of which I have not altered or exaggerated at all. And then there were the hot springs, the wild horses, the baby falcons, the Solukis... Like I said: epic.

I suppose new landscapes inspire even the most cynical among us, but as a photographer, this particular trip truly blew my mind. Can't wait to get back for more.
